I would do just about anything for the person I love. And I absolutely refuse to give up on the person I love unless they’ve done something to betray me.
To me, love is about being able to just be in each other’s company and that’s more than enough. You don’t ever make the other person feel bad for their mistakes and you try your absolute best not to judge them for their past. You’d never force them to do anything they feel uncomfortable with and you do everything in your power to make them feel safe and loved and cherished. Being with them makes you want to be a better person…not because you need to change, but because you want to be the very best “you” that you can be.
You take no shame in loving them, you don’t try to hide them…if anything you want to show them off to the world and introduce them to the most important people in your life. They make you as happy as you can possibly imagine being. But you aren’t afraid to get into fights, because once the fighting stops, that means someone has stopped caring.
You begin to make decisions based on not just what is best for you, but what’s best for them as well. But most importantly, you love them for EXACTLY who they are and you would never intentionally do anything to hurt them.
